Argan Oil Hair Mask Review

I love love love this stuff! I have the problem of buildup in my hair from cheaper hair products so I wanted to try this to see if it helped at all.

The smell is AMAZING! My husband literally asked me if he could eat it (my answer would be no, just to be safe). I mostly use it as a replacement for my standard conditioner but I have used it as a hair mask after washing and both results are the same. My hair feels healthier, lighter, cleaner and just FRESHER. I am so in love. I can't ever use anything else! New staple in my bathroom!

Desk Pad Organizer Review

Being a blogger and manager of my household, I do a lot of work at my desk and it usually looks like this ---->

(note: this is not my desk because I far too ashamed to show you my actual desk).

So office supplies like pens, pencils, paperclips and just about anything else that is smaller than an 8.5x11 piece of paper, gets very easily lost in the piles.

Artistic sent me their Executive Desk Pad Organizer (and made me feel super special for being sent something with
'Executive' in the title) to help simplify my life.

I have a desk with a pull out keyboard slot, which is where I store desk pad organizer. I'm pretty sad because it was damaged in the move and no longer rolls out, but if it did, it would be super easy to just roll out that part of desk when I need something from the convenient storage spaces up above (so this minor inconvenience is due to my broken desk and not my amazing Artistic Desk Pad.

The Desk Pad is made out of super thick cardboard and covered in "fine-grain leather-like" material that looks very sophisticated and professional. I almost feel like I should be an exec!

My favorite feature has to be the cover over the storage spaces at the top. I have two small ones and they love to mess with my stuff, plus I am very clumsy so I tend to knock things over and spill things a lot. I can have a load of paperclips in one of the small trays and not spill them, in part because of the cover.

I think the only thing I would change about this would be to offer different styles. My desk is set up in the way that it would work better for me if the storage space was on one set or another, but remained the same size that it is now.

Disclaimer: I received this product complimentary in exchange for my review on social media, but my thoughts and opinions are my own and I would never recommend a product that I do personally enjoy or find of quality.

Meet Lulu!

Meet Lulu is a magical coloring book that includes a stylus crayon for your iPad or Android tablet app (download of the app is free).

Here's how Meet Lulu is different than most other coloring books for kids: you can color on the pages or you can scan the pages into the app and color on your tablet device.

I tested this out with my 4 year old daughter. She looked the pictures and was really excited to have a special crayon that she could use on my iPad. Each page has a QR barcode that you can scan in the app to bring up that page, but it was kind of unnecessary because the app has the whole collection of coloring books listed and the pages easily displayed for the child to choose to color.

The stylus crayon worked, but not the way I wished. It has a rubbery tip and I wish it would slide along my iPad screen a little better, but my daughter didn't notice or care. The worst part is that my daughter decided to put the crayon in her mouth and bit it on the tip so it does not work pretty much at all anymore. However, the app works just fine without the crayon stylus and she still has the coloring book to use real crayons on.

The illustrations in the book were very adorable and my daughter thought they were so cool to color. It's really ideal for traveling or in the car because my child can color without needing any crayons--just her finger and my tablet.

I didn't see an option to save your progress on a page and come back to finish coloring it, but my daughter was a big hog of my iPad so I can't be sure that there isn't one somehow.

Great app and lots of fun for both of us. Neat idea!

Professional Cocktail Muddler Bar Tool Review + Giveaway

My husband's favorite mixed drink is probably an old-fashioned, or at least his version of it, so he likes to muddle up a couple cherries in the bottom of his glass before adding the other ingredients. I have seen him do this (and laughed) with a spoon for years. It always seemed ineffective to me, so when I was approached to try and review the Professional Cocktail Muddler Bar Tool from BTIPSY, I was excited to surprise him.

The muddler bar tool is made of stainless steel and super easy to clean and it has a 3 year extended warranty. The actual end of the muddler is a rubber-like material so it isn't noisy while muddling in a glass or bowl and there is very little chance of damaging your dinnerware by using it.

So how did it work? Well my husband would like to add his own opinions:
"The husband here.
I would like to add that the muddler has a wide base (where you place it in the glass while muddling), so there doesn't have to be a lot of gyrating.
I think that places it above usual muddlers. No motioning around with your wrist. You just place a few cherries (or whatever ingredient) on the bottom of the glass, press the muddler down and twist it a few times.
Voila! A great mixture without a lot of work. Very convenient."

So there you have it, definitely better than a spoon.

You can buy it here,

but wouldn't it better to win one!?

Copper Sole Socks Review

I hate socks. I hate shoes. I would rather be barefoot, but I suffer through wearing flip flops when I have to wear something on my feet. I only wear closed toed shoes when I am out of the house during the 2 coldest months of the winter. I wear flip flops in the rain even! So even though I do own socks, a shock to many people who know me, I do not enjoy wearing them.

I have two kinds of socks: thin and pretty useless (my usual go-to) and thick and make-my-feet-sweaty. I only wear the latter with shoes that are too big for me to make them fit better.

I have flat feet so I am almost always suffering from foot and ankle aches, especially at the end of a day full of my wonderful little ones. I have adjusted to that being part of life (like my frequent migraines and constant backaches) and didn't think that anything short of expensive and uncomfortable shoe inserts would do much to help me.

When BzzAgent selected me for to try out Copper Socks, I actually selected to get them in my husband's size (Men's size 6-12/Women's 8-12) Large because I just assumed I would make him try them out for me. But after reading my friend's thoughts about them in a facebook group, I decided to try them on when they arrived.

Now I have small feet, women's size 5/6 normally and my husband wears shoe size 10-10.5 normally. I expected for the socks to be huge on me, but they weren't. They fit snugly but weren't too big on my foot or too tight. That, of course, had me worried that they would be too small for my husband. But the elastic and fabric in these socks are made of some kind of magic because they fit him equally well!

When I put the socks on, I was immediately struck by how soft and comfortable they were, seriously, I was kind of in awe. They were thick so they felt very much like a slipper, but a snug fit that were like, well, socks.

The thickness made me certain that they would be too warm and my make feet sweat. I like it cool in my house (read: I sleep with my thermostat at 66 at night just about year round) because I have been basically pregnant or breastfeeding for almost the entire last 5 years. So to test it out, I wore the socks around my house for several hours as I played with my kids, watched tv, cooked dinner and snuggled up to nurse my baby in my bed. To my amazement, MY FEET NEVER GOT HOT! These socks are made part magic, I tell ya!

I even wore these socks to bed and slept the whole night without being too hot or taking them off in my sleep. I am sort of in love! I sad when I remembered that I had actually ordered these in my husband's size and he really needed new socks... I didn't want to share.

But I am a good wife, so I shared with my overly skeptical and hard-to-please husband. Guess what? He was amazed by how soft and comfortable they were too. He likes them so much that he put them on our bedside table after wearing them for a couple hours so he could re-wear them in the morning! (My husband doesn't usually re-wear anything, he calls a towel dirty after drying off his hands!)

This morning, my husband asked if they make these socks in black (so he could wear them to work) and if I would look into ordering more. We are both sold on these socks, and I might have to reconsider shoes so I can wear them more than just around my house.

From my research, the current price is $24.99 PER PAIR (a bit steep, but definitely worth it). But I was given a coupon code to share with my readers!
Go to http://bit.ly/1mN2VVV and use coupon code CSCU615 to save 50% off one pair of Copper Sole socks. Code expires 6/30/15

Advil Film-Coated Tablet Review

I don't know about you, but I get headaches. I get them a lot - and typically they happen because of the three lovely little boys I spend my days chasing around. I love them a lot, but at the end of the day the screaming, running around, and general chaos of life leave me with a lot of pain. My back, neck, and head are often very done with me by the time I get to turn in. The problem is that I still have a lot to do after they've been tucked in, and I need something in the mean time to get me through the rest of the day!

That's where Advil film-coated tablets have come into the picture for me. As part of CrowdTap I was chosen to review a sample of Advil 200mg film-coated tablets. I was pretty excited about these because I'm always looking for new ways to help my aches and pains go away as fast as possible and they sounded pretty promising. Ironically enough, when I received the box I had a headache - so I gave the new film-coated tablets a try.

The effect was faster than I could have imagined! I wasn't left waiting 2+ hours for relief. Within about 45 minutes I could feel my headache drifting away. It was gone completely within the hour. The film coating on the tablets is supposed to help with absorbency, and I think it really follows through. I definitely approve of the new Advil film-coated tablets!

Depression Lies Because I Am Blessed

"Today I left some dishes dirty,
The bed got made around 3:30.
The diapers soaked a little longer,
The odor grew a little stronger.
The crumbs I spilled the day before,
Are staring at me from the floor.
The fingerprints there on the wall,
Will likely be there still next fall.
The dirty streaks on those window panes,
Will Still be there next time it rains.
Shame on you, you sit and say,
Just what did you do today?
I held a baby til he slept,
I held a toddler while she wept.
I played a game of hide and seek,
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pulled a wagon, sang a song,
Taught a child right from wrong.
What did I do this whole day through?
Not much that shows, I guess that's true.
Unless you think that what I've done
Might be important to someone,
With dark brown eyes and soft brown hair.
If that is true... I've done my share."

One year ago, I was struggling more than I ever have in my life. I was a new mom-of-two and I felt like I was failing more than I was allowed. I felt like Morgan needed me more than I could give and Riley was dependent on me for more than I had. I was in an emotional haze and I was not living up to my own expectations.

One night, I called my husband in a panic and demanded that he come home immediately. I told him the thoughts that I couldn't get out of my head, thoughts that I had NEVER heard in my own mind before. I had looked at my life, and felt certain that everyone would be better off without me in their world, that my children were done a disservice for getting me as a mother and they would be so much better taken care of without me. I thought I should no longer be a part of this world.

Instead of listening my head, I called my husband and asked for help. I wept to him about all my failings and told him how scared I was of all the damage I was doing to our kids by not being a good mother....

And he reminded me that depression lies and that I was dead wrong. My children needed me and he needed me. He helped me take a deep breath and look at my sweet offspring. Riley was laying peacefully on my bed resting with his angelic face and Morgan was adoringly watching a show on her LeapPad next to him. Both of them were safe and healthy and well taken care of. The only person's expectations I was not meeting.... were my own.

So I convinced myself to give myself a break. And I am still here one year later, and my kids? Well my kids are... they are happy and healthy and well taken care of and amazing and smart and wonderful. They make my life worth living and remind of all the good I have done in this world by having them and teaching the best way to be an important part of our society.

I am blessed to be a stay-at-home mom and I am blessed to have these small humans love me so dearly. I am blessed to have a husband who cares about what I think of myself and continually reminds me that I am doing an amazing job.

In short? I am blessed.

California Kitchenware Butterfield Silicone Cupcake Molds Review

Have you ever tried silicone cupcake molds? I am in lots of co-ops that often run buys for them, but I have never been brave enough to try them. I had a silicone bread pan once, but it was the WORST to clean so I was afraid the cupcake molds would be the same--that kept me from ordering any.

Until California Kitchenware contacted me about trying their silicone cupcake molds found here. Since I have a four year old with a mouth full of sweet teeth, cupcakes are a frequent flyer in my house so it was just a matter of the occasion to arise to try them. That day was today and I was oddly excited about making a cupcake mess in my kitchen that would allow me to try these adorable molds.

First of all, they are shipped in a plastic container that would probably be useful to keep for storing them (mine was stolen and mostly eaten by my one year old). Secondly I have to mention the colors--these molds came in a set of 12, which had 4 blue, 4 yellow and 4 pink (my daughter says its purple so it could go either way). The colors are very vibrant and bright! My daughter was excited to bake in such pretty colored molds.

Instantly I was in major like with these molds. My biggest peeve of paper cupcake molds are that they don't really stay down in the pan until they have some cupcake mix to weigh it down. Since the silicone molds keep their shape, they fit into my cupcake pan perfectly.

I prepared on pan of silicone molds and one pan of paper liners (I'm making marble swirl cupcakes):

All the cupcakes were done at the same time, but I think they silicone molds cooled a little faster for some reason (they were definitely hot to the touch out of the oven though--I checked). I was most excited to see the difference between the cupcake after you peeled away the mold and liner.

The cupcakes baked in the silicone seemed to hold the moisture a bit better so they are just a bit softer and fluffier. Also, the difference of the amount of cupcake remaining on the liner/mold was drastic. Aside from cupcake mixture I dripped on the edge of the mold, there are almost no cupcake stuck to the mold, but the usual amount stuck to the paper liner.

Both sets up cupcakes were delicious, but the cupcakes baked in silicone were prettier looking, more consistent in size and shape and easier to peel. A plus is that silicone is reusable, so less waste for the environment!

Ice Pop Mold Maker Review

My daughter is a Popsicle fiend! Seriously, she wants Popsicle after Popsicle from the moment she wakes up until the time she finally closes her eyes at the end of the day. Aside from the fact that they lack all nutritional value, my biggest complaint is how messy they can be (and if there is a mess to be made, my daughter finds a way to make it--she is only 3 afterall).

While searching for an easy solution (I lack all creativity in every aspect of life), I stumbled upon a new company looking for bloggers to try their product and give honest reviews. That company is BeeSili and they offered me Silicone Ice Pop Mold Container to test on my Popsicle loving kiddo.

I used them in a sort of unconventional way (reminder: I am not crafty at all) by opening the flimsy plastic containers of ice pops and poring them into these ice pop molds. I did one set by pouring the unfrozen liquid Popsicle into the ice molds. They froze quickly and were super easy to push them up and break them into pieces because of the very flexible silicone that the molds are made of.

My other set was done after the popsicles were already frozen in the plastic sleeves that they came in. I just opened the plastic and smooshed the frozen popsicle into the mold. The kind of popsicles I had were not quiet the same size as the molds so I had to force the extra in the mold, or have leftover popsicle in the plastic still.

Some tips for use from BeeSili's amazon listing:

*6 ice pop molds stand up in a cup or glass for easy filling
*Each mold holds 3.3 oz or about 1/3 cup
*Leave 1" at top for expansion when frozen
*Run warm/hot water over sides of frozen pop to loosen for easy push up
*Fill pops: left over smoothie mix, juice, jello, yogurt, pudding, coconut, almond or chocolate milk with berries, left over baby food, leftover sauces & more!
*Adults Only: Margarita, pina colada, daiquiri mixes, jello shots & more!
*Pets: On the go, travel snack keeper for your pet's treats
*Keep snacks fresh: Nuts, seeds, dried fruit, granola, veggies, candy
*Travel: Snacks, vitamins, Q tips, cotton balls, gum, mints

My favorite part of this product has nothing to do with this product, but the company behind it. These silicone products were created to fund a project that benefits soldiers with PTSD. Keomi Skincare Handmade Soap Review

I have never tried handmade soap before so I was excited to see how Keomi Skincare's Handmade Soap could match up against the big store brands of bar soap.

You can find it for sale here in Sea Breeze, Luscious Lavender, Green Tea Goddess or Golden Crow for $8.97 per bar. You can also order samples for free on their website, just pay shipping and handling. There are also multi-packs you can order on Amazon.

I loved the decorative paper the soap was wrapped in and shipping was very quick directly from the Keomi location.

The bar was not very thick, about a half an inch, but I have used it many times already and have not noticed it reduced in size at all so I think it lasts longer than normal thick bar soaps you can buy in the store.

The scent was very nice, although I would have probably picked a different one myself, and I loved that the bar had little pieces of something inside to give it a very unique texture.

The ingredients are all organic so there should be no skin sensitivity issues. From their Amazon listing, the ingredients are: Saponified Oils of Pure Olive, Palm Kernel, Avocado, Grape Seed, Coconut, Cocoa Butter; Dead Sea Salt & Dead Sea Clay, Seaweed, Scented with a Blend of Lavender Oakmoss & Fir.

For the best results, I would follow the directions provided for storing and use:
Store open soap in a dry place, out of the stream of water, and on a draining soap dish. Don't let soap sit in a dish or container that is bowl shaped, or that allows water to pool in the bottom. Avoid those indentations built in some showers as "soap dishes" as they rarely drain properly. When using soap for body cleansing, longevity improves if you avoid rubbing the bar directly on the body. Instead, use hands, washcloth or other bathing instrument to apply. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Catching up by taking a break

I have been so behind on reviews and mommy duties lately that I haven't spent any time to make a post for myself. I am still behind on about 5 reviews, but I have to share a mommy secret I have found recently that, I believe, may save my sanity.

Whenever I am overwhelmed and overrun by my life--the dishes are overflowing in my kitchen that is only equipped with a dishwasher labeled "mama" <<freeze here while I remember that I have not refilled my daughter's 8th cup of chocolate milk like she asked me before her brother pooped>>

OK where was I?
All over the place?
Sounds like me.

Anyway, I was talking about how overwhelming life can be! I have two small children (almost one and almost 4--love the birthday season in our house almost as much as I despise it) and a husband who works a lot to provide for our family so I can be home with our tiny blessings.

Let's not forget about the two dogs, the crazy cat and any other family relationships I have to foster. With all of that, I spend a lot of my days helping or caring for others. Do you know what though? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Please read that accurately: I wouldn't have it any other way.
Meaning: I love my life, I love my kids, I love my husband.
I do not love the limited number of hours in a day.
I do not love all the things I have to cram into those few hours.
I do not love cleaning up animal or even human excrement <<yes, we potty training -- and excuse me while I refill aforementioned chocolate milk and find a new shows for my daughter and quickly act out the previous episode of Jake and the Neverland Pirates>>

Resuming with... ummmm .... what I do to distress on days when I feel like the list of things I have to get done are deafening me? Well, I tried a lot of things:

I tried to organize myself better for maximize time efficiency -- but I ended up spending way too much time organizing and getting stressed out when things didn't go as planned.

Let's face it, you can't plan meltdowns or potty accidents or what times your baby is going to need his mommy to hold him every second of the day.

You just can't account for those things, which is why I am always late to E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G. Seriously, I am late to the grocery store. How? Talent. Natural talent.

Insert very important tip here: ctrl+z is a mommy blogger lifesaver --and so is my husband who I just called in a panic because I was unsure how to fix my mistake over typing over THIS WHOLE POST! Thank you for bailing me out calmly, love! <<hitting SAVE now>>

OK OK So what is my secret if not any of those things they normally suggest?

I do nothing. Nothing at all.

<<I just had to stop my son from eating the toilet paper so my daughter could use it to wipe while on the toilet. Does any mother think this is what their life will be like?>>

Nothing, you ask? That seems ...  highly unproductive? Don't worry, you are right, it is. Doing nothing gets nothing accomplished.

And some days, that is what you need more than a clean house -- trust me

Instead of cleaning or stressing or organizing or making phone calls or setting up appointments or balancing our account, I spend time with my kids just enjoying their childhood.

And it is beautiful.

My son whistles, yes whistles, while he plays and I don't know the last time I found something so thoroughly entertaining.

My daughter has mastered the art of reenacting scenes from her favorite shows, she dances almost all the time and she talks just. like. me. I am both terrified and thrilled at this new development.

My children found the time and ability to play together with minimal catastrophes, while I was busy stressing over the Fruit Loops on the high chair and the water in the bathroom floor.

This morning I took a time out with my daughter while my son napped and my husband was out for his morning run. We put together a puzzle and I was shocked at how smart she is and how I could let my control freak-ness rest while she took her time to figure out where the pieces go.

This is true beauty.
These minutes were so much more productive than cleaning that crazy thing called a kitchen behind her.
Life is made up of moments like this and I am going to soak them all in.
So that's my lesson: take your time figuring out where the pieces go and love every minute of it.

iArrow Sports Armband for iPhone

My latest product we have tried in our house was the iArrow Sports Armband for iPhone 5 series found here.

I was very excited to see that armband came with a screen protector and a black hard case to use with the armband itself.

Installation
My husband and I have iPhone 5c's and despite us both trying a couple times, we could not get our phones to fit and stay in the provided black hard case. I think the iPhone 5/5S would fit more easily because it does not have the rounded design of the 5c, but I don't have access to a phone like that try.
Despite not fitting in the included case, the screen protector fit on iPhone 5c nicely and was easy to apply. I personally think a screen protector is a must-have for all iPhones so it was nice that this was included with the armband.
The holder for the phone (not the case I mentioned above) and the actual armband are two separate pieces. I wish they had sent assembly instructions, simply because I put them together backwards the first time. Once I realized how the armband strap had to adhere to itself, the way to thread it through the holder was pretty obvious and easy to do.

Ease of use
My husband took his phone out on a 2 mile run using this armband and his iPhone in just the holder (since the case did not fit) and said he had no issues. It didn't fall out, though it does not clip in firmly like it would if you had the case on it so it would likely dislodge and/damage your phone in a fall.
His music did not skip or do anything unusual. His headphones stayed connected easily and his MapMyRun app preformed in the usual way.
*

Design/quality
I like the sleek matte black design of the iArrow armband. It is comfortable and lightweight but seems to be able to take some damage instead of your phone in case of a fall.
The armband itself is a nice material that would not collect sweat and moisture so we haven't had any issues with it smelling or needing any more washing than usual (we haven't washed it in the week we have been using it).
Adjustment is super easy--my 3 year old likes to wear it and can adjust the strap herself. But it's made of very stout Velcro that holds together well.

Mega Mesh Premium Magnetic Screen Door Review

I was sent the Mega Mesh Screen Door by Easy Install (found here). I have been wanting one of these since I first heard of them last summer, but I have not been willing to shell out out the money for fear that it wouldn't fit my doorway at my old house.

I decided to install it on the outside of my kitchen door that leads to my garage since my family uses that door to go into our backyard so it is the main source of my pets coming and going and the main cause of the bugs in my house--which I can't stand!

Installation
READ THE FULL INSTRUCTION PAGE BEFORE STARTING! All products tell you to do this, but this is one that you really need to know what to do ahead of time. The mistake I made was I did not originally hang the top middle about 5mm higher than the sides. If you don't hang the middle higher, the magnetic in the center strips will not meet the right way and the screen will not close effortless when you walk through it.

I started the installation using just the adhesive tape on the back of the velcro strips for installation. It seems to stick to my clean doorway well-at first. But within 20 minutes it had fallen in more than one place twice. It could have been because of the heat of summer in my garage so it may be enough for installation inside the home where the temperature is more controlled.

Thankfully, the manufacturer's thought of this possible issue and included tacks for more durable and permanent installation. I kind of thought they would be push tacks, but I need to use as hammer to get them into my door frame, but they are still small and discrete so I didn't mind putting them in.

Once I had the tacks in place, I have had not issues with it falling or coming out of place in the three weeks since I installed it.

What I think
I like how easy it is to walk through the screen and how effortless it closes behind you. It even closes just fine when my toddler walks through it. An added bonus? My dogs think it is a door so they have not tried to walk through it without someone holding it open for them. I like that feature because then they are not inside when they are not wanted inside.

The downside? The first weekend I had this installed I noticed this hole/rip in the screen. It is most likely due to something my dogs did, but being a product that is advertised for easy pet use, I am pretty sad that it so easily tore. This whole is plenty big enough for bugs to get into my house so it does directly change the effectiveness of the screen. I have not contacted the company about this yet and I will update after I have heard back from them regarding this.

Crave Slant Tip Tweezers Review

Crave sent me their new Precisio professional tweezers and I was a little apprehensive, because I despise pucking my eyebrows. However, due to recent budget cuts in my family, I have had to stop paying for eyebrow waxing on a regular basis so I am left with two choices: be a hairy, crazy mess or tweezer my eyebrows on my own!

So I started out my tweezing sessions with Crave slant tip tweezers and these eyebrows (yikes!!):

Let me just say that I have never been good at doing my own eyebrows. They always end up uneven, messed up and red and painful feeling. But, finally, my results were different!

I was able to pluck several hairs at once or just one single hair when I wished. The design made it very easy to trace my eyebrows to see which hairs should stay and which should go. The plucking was pretty painless and easy. With many cheap tweezers I have, on man occasions, accidentally pinched my skin while trying to get a single hair or a very fine hair. This was not an issue with these tweezers. I don't think I will ever be able to go back to standard cheap tweezers again thanks to Crave!

Some tips from Crave
You should store your tweezers in the plastic protective vial that it shipped in to protect it from damage that could warp or misalign the sides.
Avoid dropping the tweezers as that could also misalign the blades.
Contact the company with any issues, they have amazing customer service and they want you to be able to use their products the maximine capabilities.

Stainless Steel Garlic Press Reviews

I had two different companies send me their garlic presses for review: Orblue and bru joy. I have combined their reviews into one post because of the similarities of the reviews and products.

Orblue stainless steel propressor
I was sent this garlic press from Orblue to try and review. On Amazon they have the following benefits listed:

1. ENJOY THE IRONCLAD 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE - I am so confident you're going to love your Propresser Garlic Press I'm offering it with an ironclad guarantee. If you have ANY problems with your Propresser Garlic Press FOR THE LIFETIME OF THE PRODUCT simply let me know and I will refund every penny of your purchase plus ship you another brand new kitchen gadget FREE of charge.

2. QUALITY YOU CAN COUNT ON - Unlike many of the garlic pressers on the market that are made from cheap zinc alloy, your Propresser Garlic Press is fashioned from 100% stainless steel. It won't rust, won't weaken at the joint, and won't break. We've meticulously designed this cooking gadget to serve you for years and decades to come.

3. DESIGNED WITH EASE OF USE IN MIND - Hold the Propresser Garlic Press in your hand. Note the thickness of the handles and how comfortably your fingers wrap around them. With a clove of garlic nestled in the basket the handles are the ideal distance apart to maximize leverage. Gently squeeze the handles together. You'll be delighted at how easily, how effortlessly your Propresser Garlic Press produces perfectly minced garlic.

4. CLEANUP IS A BREEZE - Now you can enjoy the flavor and health benefits of garlic instantly without the hassle of messy cleanup. Simply flip up the Propresser Garlic Press's basket, rinse it under your faucet, and you're done!

5. A BEAUTIFUL ADDITION TO YOUR KITCHEN - When you first remove the Propresser Garlic Press from its box marvel at the way light dances over the stainless steel handles and glides over the curves of its ergonomic design. This is no mere cooking utensil - this is a handsome complement to your kitchen's décor.

What I think
The garlic press is very well made with stainless steel, smooth lines and easy to hold handle. The place for the fresh garlic to go is the right size for most cloves of garlic and pressure to mince the garlic evenly.

I like their promise to refund AND replace the garlic press for the life of the product. I have not had to test that guarantee yet, thankfully, but my communication with the company has already been easy, pleasant and convenient.

Bru Joy stainless steel garlic press
Link is the garlic press I was sent from bru joy.

Bru joy's amazon listing has the following benefits under the description section:

1. Saves you money. Made of unbreakable, heavy duty stainless steel from head to toe, Bru Joy garlic press is the last garlic press you ever need to buy!
2. Saves you time: Producing juicy garlic mince in seconds. Bru Joy Garlic Press is extremely simple to use.
3. Easy to clean Not only dishwasher-safe, best part is that the mince head flicks open for easy skins-removal.
4. No more smelly hands - you don't need to peel garlic anymore!
5. The end of bland cooking. Add hassle free fresh garlic to your meals everyday!

What I think
I have to be honest, I can't tell a difference between this and the Orblue propressor--aside from the name branding. These products are the same size, weight, color, shape, design, everything. So like I said for the previous garlic press, it works great! I liked how evenly it presses the garlic and the minimal amount of effort it requires.
The one thing that made this bru joy product stand out from the Orblue one would be the fact that it came with a cleaning brush. Which has been VERY useful in cleaning and I would say for that fact alone, bru joy wins :)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Where Is My Home? eBook Review

Layout
The first thing I will note about this book is that it is not formatted to read/view on an iPad in the horizontal way, like this:

But in the vertical position, the book looks great:

Note: When I turned my iPad back to horizontal after it had been vertical, the page layout was easier to read, but still not as aesthetically pleasing as it is in the vertical orientation.

My thoughts on the storyline
Very cute story about a little boy who accidentally gets away from his home while chasing a butterfly. This book kind of reminded me of "Are You My Mother?" and had a really adorable progression from one adventure to the next.

My thoughts on the writing
I am unsure exactly who this book is made for so I have a couple opinions on this.

If the book is written for parents who are reading to their kids who are not yet of reading age, then the book is well written to get as many words on each page so there is a photo to go with each page.

My concern becomes if this book is designed for early readers to read aloud with their parents or teachers, then there are several improvements to be made. Firstly, the book includes many large blocks of text without line breaks. These can be very hard to follow and for little readers to not lose their place while reading to themselves or out loud. Any time the speaker changes, a new line should start. I would not suggest any more than one or two sentences per "paragraph" (I say this as a mom to a four-year-old).

Secondly for little readers, the language may be a little bit too advanced in some places. I think the author got a little caught up in writing correctly, but forgot the rule of simplicity with it comes to children's books.

My last complaint would be the typos throughout the book. Most of them are punctuation errors, but they are distracting for me as a parent.

Overall, very cute story and my daughter enjoyed listening to me read it aloud to her. I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

**FREEBIE ALERT** HoneyBaked Ham Co & Cafe

In honor of my birthday in September, I am doing a series of posts about completely free products I have received for signing up for a company's email club or for my birthday.

HoneyBaked Ham has an online rewards club called HoneyBaked Rewards that you can subscribe to for coupons, deals and (best of all) FREEBIES!

Just for signing up, they send me a coupon for a FREE Classic Ham sandwich that expired in 14 days.

We have a HoneyBaked Ham Cafe close to my house in Bentonville, Arkansas so I took the drive over there today for my free sandwich.

Local Store Experience
Our local store smelled AMAZING as soon as you walked it. I wanted to just eat the air, seriously. I was helped very quickly and the employee gave me no problems or issues with my free coupon (I just printed the email and took it with me). I had the choice between dine in or take out (I chose take-out so I could eat at home with my family).

The Sandwich
The Classic Ham has comes with ham (obviously), swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato and their sweet honey mustard. I opted for no lettuce on my sandwich because I am a lettuce-hater. I also got a pickle slice with my sandwich.

The Review
Oh. My. Oh. My. I may have tried to inhale this sandwich. Yum yum yum! The ham was so thick and sweet! The honey mustard was my favorite kind that tastes nothing like mustard and everything like honey sweetness. Fresh tomato and cheese were just "toppings on the sandwich" (read: icing on the cake). The bread was a butter, soft and delicious croissant that complemented everything else that was so wonderful about this sandwich. I am so sold!

Bonus!!!
HoneyBaked Rewards members should also receive a free Classic Ham for their birthday. Since my birthday isn't for two weeks, they still have time to send out that coupon (I will update when they do).

Enjoy!

Raw Organic Unfiltered Shea Butter Review & Giveaway

I made a DIY face cream with my Shea Butter I was sent from Beauty by Shea/Hydracentials. There are so many more things I want to try to make with this so I plan to update as I try out the other things I want to make from scratch with my raw, unfiltered shea butter.

So here's my face cream recipe:
ONE tablespoon coconut oil
THREE tablespoons shea butter
2-3 drops of tea tree oil

Just mix the three ingredients together and blend with the back of a spoon to make a frosting like consistency and apply to your face!

So what did I think? Well it was a little hard to mix together for me, but mostly because I had kids running around and screaming while I tried to do it. But the three things did blend well. It went on my face really well and I did not have to use very much.

It did make my skin super oily at first and I was scared I would break out of just have greasy looking skin. But I went to sleep with it on, as instructed, and my skin felt AH-MAZ-ING in the morning. Seriously! I don't think you need to do this every night, though it wouldn't hurt your skin I'm sure, but my skin still feels very soft and smooth about a week later (and I have used no other moisturizers on my face since).

Look for more homemade beauty product recipes soon!

Bru Joy Manual Can Opener Review

Bru Joy sent me their manual stainless steal can opener to try for review (along with two other products I will be reviewing soon) and I am so glad they did.

About this can opener (According to their Amazon listing)
*** Requires Minimal Efforts*** Thanks to its ultra-sharp cutting disc blades, ergonomic handles and extra-large turning knob, you will open any cans like a piece of cake, even if you have arthritis or weak hand strength!
***Saves You Time*** Opening cans in seconds, Bru Joy Can Opener is extremely simple to use and easy to clean – just rinse the cutting discs in running water then put the opener in dishwasher!
***Saves You Money*** Made of unbreakable, heavy duty stainless steel from head to toe, Bru Joy can opener will never break and is the only can opener you ever need to buy.
*** Protects You*** Ultra-precise cutting drive leaves a smooth edge which means the opened can will not hurt you!
Features:
1) Made of top quality 18/10 stainless steel – heavy duty and will not break – even suitable for commercial/restaurant use
2) Ultra-sharp cutting disc blades – it requires minimum grip strength – leaves smooth edge for extra safety
3) Sleekly packed in a gift box, this gorgeous deluxe stainless steel can opener serves a perfect wedding/bridal shower/birthday gift!

How I tested it
I opened cans with it, duh! OK, OK Just kidding!
I used this can opener in place of my then-current can opener for all my can opening needs. I opened cans that were small like tuna, medium sized cans like soups and large cans like spaghetti sauce. I also opened cans that were new and some that were older and a bit more worn, dented or rusty.

My thoughts
This seriously is the EASIEST use can opener I have ever used. Seriously. My almost 4 year old can (and did) open a can with it (I am very bummed I missed getting it on video). It takes less effort than normal to clamp down onto the can and start the opening process and it takes NO EFFORT to turn the handle. The handle is made of black strudy plastic and it is wide and shaped just right for your hand so you don't have to worry about your hand slipping or getting hurt or tired from turning. I have early onset mild arthritis in my wrists so an easy to use can opener is really important to me. This can opener from Bru Joy definitely made the cut and I am so thankful they sent me this to try.

Oleavine beauty professional Konjac Sponge infused with Activated Charcoal Review

I was so excited to try this Konjac Sponge infused with activated charcoal because I have heard lots of really wonderful things about them from many different sources.

The directions say that you can use this sponge without any chemicals or with facial cleanser of my choice. I decided to try it both ways.

First time I used it in the shower without any cleansers. I just simply wet the sponge thoroughly and rubbed it all over my face. Wow! The sponge got so soft really fast and felt very smooth on my skin. The best part? My skin felt like I had just used a scrub or microdermabrasion on it, but I used absolutely nothing! I have pretty dry and sort of flaky-ish skin on my nose most of the time. The above mentioned cleansers work to remove it pretty well for a few days, but this Konjac Sponge was the first non-chemical thing I have found to take care of that problem area as well. The sponge dried really quickly so I don't have to worry about it being slimy or moldy or anything.

I also tried this with my favorite acne facial cleanser as well. I was worried that the gel would ruin the sponge or that the sponge would absorb the gel to prevent me from getting the acne fighting powers of the gel. That was definitely not something I should worry about! My face got the smooth, clean result I am used to with my acne gel but also super soft and even MORE SMOOTH from using the Konjac Sponge.

I simply cannot imagine not having this sponge in my bathroom. It is a new beauty must-have for me.

Life & Food Pure Raw Organic Yacon Root Syrup Review

I had never heard of Yacon Root Syrup before I received the product to try for free. It is 100% natural and the bottle advertises it does the following:
-Supports healthy digestion
-Contains prebiotics
-Boosts metabolism
-Increases fiber

My husband and I both tried this. We were lucky because despite him being on a low carb diet, this was ok for him to add as a sweetner because it only has less than 4 grams of carbs per tablespoon.

What did I think? He's the honest answer: this product smells TERRIBLE! It made me a little icky feeling just to sniff it. So I decided to drink it mixed into my coffee. It worked really nicely as a sweetner and the coffee didn't taste bad when it was added to it.

After using this for a few weeks, I think it does most of what it claims. I noticed I was more regular in the bathroom, I felt less bloated and sluggish after eating and had some more energy than before without changing my diet at all.

Without anything to compare it to, I would recommend Yacon Root Syrup to boost metabolism and help with healthy digestion and overall daily wellbeing.

PhantomFit Resistance Loop Bands Review

I was so excited to be able to try these out. My daughter was recently diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder while my husband and I are trying to take our fitness a lot more seriously.

These bands are great for my daughter to work on her "hard work" exercises. She uses the "light" band around her door knob and stretches it as far as she can about 10 times with each arm. Being a 4 year old it is important for things to seem fun for her, and this definitely meets that need!

My husband and I have started using these bands are part of our regular workout routine as well. They are durable, so far, and made with the right material to not slip while working with them. Thanks so much for letting me try these for free PhantomFit!

GIVEAWAY! Free Men's or Women's Leak Control Underwear Review

Leak Control Underwear, you say? You are probably thinking the same thing I wondered when I first read about this product: Adult Diapers?! Well that couldn't be further from the truth!

This is a tough topic for many women, including myself, to talk about. After 4 pregnancies, my body is not what it once was. The biggest issue I've found after my 3rd and 4th pregnancies was the strength of my abdominal muscles. I don't have true incontinence issues in the way that I randomly lose control of my bladder and wet myself, but I am not with issues. Here's a bit of real talk for you: If I haven't gone to the bathroom rather recently, I almost always leak a little when I sneeze. How embarrassing!! I'm only 26 afterall, I should not be afraid to sneeze in public because then I'll be left in wet underwear.

So that's my mommy confession that I am honestly sharing with everyone who will read this post. But that is why I want to offer up my opinion of Wearever's Leak Control Underwear.

Being under 30, I feel like many leak control solutions are not designed for a woman of my age. So I cruised over to Wearever's website to see what their products looked like. I was shocked to find some mildly stylish products on their page for women. All solid colors and just the basic choices (black, white and tan from what I saw), but the Women's Nylon & Lace, Lace Trim & Cotton and, the one I chose to try, Lovely Lace Trim panties were all very cute and made me less embarrassed to be wearing these under my clothes.

So what do I think after trying them out? There main function works great. I sneezed at least once with a little leak while wearing them and I didn't have that terrible wet feeling that I did in normal panties. I chose my normal panty size and while they fit, they were a little awkward. The waist band comes up to my belly button (please note I have a very petite frame so that may not be the case for most) and I found myself wishing they were a little more of a snug fit to my body. I slept in them one night and didn't wake up from being uncomfortable or them riding up, so that is another plus!

Overall, I think it is a good solution and I do recommend this product based on my personal experience. It's nice that someone is thinking about us moms! Also, they do carry men's underwear as well, but I have no experience trying them so I have no idea how well they work or how they fit.

Vital Oxide Disinfectant Review

I was lucky enough to get this awesome disinfecting spray to try and review. Vital Oxide is labeled as a hospital disinfectant and heavy duty odor eliminator. So I put it to the test!
photo 1 (2)
I used it around my house to disinfect after I cleaned up my kids messes. It cleaned, removed smells and didn't damage my leather furniture. My wood kitchen table also became very clean and I believe all the bacteria was killed (though I have no way to tell that).
But the biggest test came yesterday when we had a major disaster in my house. While doing laundry, I left my 10 month old son diaper-less for about five minutes. In that time, he pooped in my kitchen and crawled all the way through my living room, hallway and into my bedroom and then back again before I found him at my kitchen gate covered in poop. It was horrifying.
So after I cleaned him up, I put the Vital Oxide to the test on my carpet to remove the color and the smell from my carpet. I sprayed directly on each spot and rubbed with a simple paper towel. Both odor and fecal matter came up very easily and now you would never know I had 25 poop spots on it. I am IMPRESSED!
Tomorrow I am going to try to mop with it (which I just noticed you can do!). Hope I get similar results!

Shandali Travel Sports Microfiber Towel Review

I was so excited to try out this product! This summer, my kids and I are spending lots of time outdoors and at water parks or pools. Considering that both my kids are under 4, I have to take A LOT of stuff with me for a simple couple hours out of the house:sun block, bug spray, change of clothes, diapers, towels, etc.
The last time we went to the splash pad before getting this towel, I had to take a huge duffel bag that was overflowing with things for both kids. The bulk of this was, of course, towels for each of them and a bag for wet clothes and towels after the water park.
Shandali let me try their travel/sport microfiber towel and I am so thankful! It takes up very little space because its microfiber, I am able to dry both kids with towel because it doesn’t feel wet to the touch after drying one of them off and it dries super fast so I don’t have to worry about my other things in bag getting wet if I just toss it in.
I also tired this towel around my house as a hair towel (I have a lot of hair and I only towel dry it). It did a wonderful job drying and again, didn’t drip water or leave the towel wet after use. The hook on the towel is really nice to be able to hang the towel up without bunching up the towel on a towel rank or normal hook.
Washing was very easy, just tossed it in my with my other linens and washed on cold like it says and it didn’t have any effect on my clothes or linens. I am very pleased with the product! A+, Shandali!
You can buy the towel here:

TLC VoxBox

One of my favorite websites is Influenster (if you'd like an invite to join, leave your email and I'll send it shortly). Below is a photo of my third voxbox of FREE stuff I have gotten from them, the TLC VoxBox!
tlcvoxbox

#NeoToGo

The first product that I LOVED was the Neosporin's Neo To Go spray. I have two little ones at home and am pretty accident prone myself so this has come in very handy! I love how it is a quick spray on application instead of a goopy cream because my daughter hates when anything touches  her 'owies.'

 #GelatoLove

This VoxBox included a coupon for a free full size Gelato Indulgences from Breyer's (any flavor!) I have never had gelato before so I wasn't sure what I would think, but since it was free, I had to try it. Oh my, I am hooked! It's so smooth and sweet and creamy! I got the triple chocolate flavor and I'm excited to go back and try the other flavors that my local store had (vanilla caramel and strawberry cheesecake I believe).

#SudLife

Who doesn't use soap, right? We all know Ivory has a great reputation so I was excited to see my free full size bar of Ivory soap in my box. The better part? Ivory gives you great suggestions for things to do with their amazing versatile soap other than just bathing. You can check out my pinterest board here: http://www.pinterest.com/felicianicoleb/many-uses-for-ivory-soap/
We chose to blow up the soap in the microwave because, well, I have a preschooler who loves that stuff!

 #FuelRewards

I have seen posters about the Shell Fuel Rewards card before, but I just assumed it was a credit card or some kind of fee-based discount card. Thankfully, I got my card free from influenster and found exactly what it is all about. There are no fees to sign up or have the card at all. Simply use at a Shell station when you fill up and you'll always save at least $0.03 per gallon. Currently, there is a promotion if you use any MasterCard (I used my regular debit card with a MasterCard logo) you save $0.25 per gallon! Boy was I happy to do that because summer gas prices are always wayyyy too high for my liking.

#PasssThePuffs

A free travel pack of Puff plus Lotion was a very welcome addition to our household. Since my daughter and I both suffer from terrible year-round allergies, we are always looking for was to keep our noses snot-free without all the ache and redness from constant wiping. The Puff plus Lotion come in very cute packs, are the right size for a purse or glove box and are amazingly soft. We are excited to have them around during this terrible allergy season (which is every season for us LOL).

#AvonAnew

I was slightly offended when I saw Influenster since me Avon's Anew Reversalist Complete Renewal Express Wrinkle Smoother as I am only 26! Topped with the fact that I am religious customer to a different cosmetics brand, but I will try anything that I am given for free. Unlike a cream that reduces appearances of fine lines, wrinkles, laugh lines and crows feet over time, this wrinkle smoother makes a noticeable difference as soon as you apply it! Here is my Avon Anew look!

Overall I have to say I was very happy with my TLC VoxBox and I can't wait to be selected for another campaign from Influenster!
Leave me a comment with your thoughts!
